Barcelona offer €5 million salary to Ajax defender, Bayern also interested: Fabrizio Romano
Fabrizio Romano has come forward with fresh reports about Barcelona’s pursuit of Ajax right-back Noussair Mazraoui. He suggests that Barça have offered him an annual salary of €5 million and are waiting for a response from him.
Bayern Munich are also interested and have already contacted Mazraoui, with Oliver Kahn inquiring about him to Mino Raiola. The Bavarian giants have not yet decided, though, if they want to run the bid for the 24-year-old.
Barça have been interested in signing Mazraoui for a while now, and the pursuit makes a lot of sense given their team dynamics. Dani Alves’ future, at 38, is far from certain, while Sergi Roberto is expected to leave the club on a free transfer in the summer.
Sergino Dest has done well to adapt in a new role under Xavi, but his future is up in the air as well.
Moreover, reports have stated that Barcelona will have to sign at least another Raiola client in order to secure Erling Haaland’s signature in June.
As it stands, Mazraoui definitely has a lot of suitors on the table, but with Barça looking to secure signings quickly, he needs to pick his poison as soon as possible.
