Scuderia Ferrari Spanish driver Carlos Sainz can’t wait to finally make his debut on the track as a driver of the Maranello team. The difficult season that has just ended and the equally complicated one that is looming on the horizon do not seem to frighten the new Spanish signing, chosen by Team Principal Mattia Binotto in order to replace the four-time Formula 1 world champion Sebastian Vettel. The former McLaren driver had already gone to the factory a few weeks ago to fine-tune his seat and for the team’s traditional ‘Christmas’ press conference. It was the first opportunity for us to see the first images of Carlos wearing a t-shirt branded with the unmistakable Prancing Horse.
With the arrival of the new year, however, it’s time to get serious. In fact, the Italian side needs to prepare well for the 2021 Formula 1 season, as time is not on the side of Carlos, who will have just a day and a half of official tests available to become familiar with the new team, as well as a few sessions at the wheel of red single-seater at least two years old. Carlos Sainz therefore seems determined to optimize the resources at his disposal and in the next few days he will be in Maranello to work with the team on the SF21 project. He confirmed this himself through a post on Instagram and Twitter, with a photo of him published by the official Ferrari social channels.
The eyes chico… ! After a short time off, it's time to get back to work. Travelling to Maranello tomorrow to start preparing the season ahead. Andiamo @ScuderiaFerrari
