F1 social media trends of 2020
With the Liberty Media arrival in 2017, the regulations for drivers regarding social media were amended, and Formula 1 took a step towards online progress, which resulted in an immediate spike in popularity. And for three years, Formula 1 has been the most developing sport in social media. In the last year alone, the number of subscribers to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube accounts associated with Formula 1 was roughly 25 million, which is 33{3851c0879557ceb6c70cddb6630c7df9a9750acfd53fffec21979e603af26faa} more than in the previous year. These numbers are not that surprising, considering that the pinnacle of motorsport is popular even in with audiences that were previously difficult to win over, like India or the USA.
