Agreement reached – Exciting winger will sign for Man United on Monday

Man United are starting to do some late business in the transfer window, but it’s probably not the signings that the fans will be looking for.

Edinson Cavani is the big story and he’s expected to fly in to complete things tomorrow, but it turns out that he will not be the only Uruguayan forward to sign for Man United in the next few days.

Facundo Pellistri has been spoken about for a while but it was never clear how serious those links were, especially when he was managed by Diego Forlan so it just looked like a lazy rumour.

It turns out they were 100{3851c0879557ceb6c70cddb6630c7df9a9750acfd53fffec21979e603af26faa} serious, and the player is now expected to fly in and complete his transfer on Monday after everything has been agreed:

Houssem Aouar to Juventus rumours explained

Juventus is one of the teams that have been linked with a move for Lyon midfielder, Houssem Aouar this summer.

The Frenchman seems to be on his way out of the French side, with Arsenal now considered his most likely destination.

Juve reportedly called Lyon about the 22-year-old, according to RMC via CalcioMercato.

However, Calciomercato is reporting that while Juve likes the midfielder and he is one of their transfer targets, they never opened real negotiations to sign him.

It adds that when both clubs spoke, it was mainly about the outgoing Danielle Rugani.

The midfielder might be closing in on a move to Arsenal, but he was eager to join Juventus when the Bianconeri were put forward as a possible destination.

Manchester City was another team whom he wanted to join as well, but the former Premier League champions have also not pursued their interest in him.

Tottenham willing to sell centre-back despite Foyth switch

With only a few days left of the transfer window, Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham have finally been making waves.

On Friday, the North London outfit announced that they had signed a striker for the first time in an age, with Carlos Vinicius joining from Benfica.

Defender, Juan Foyth, is also in advanced talks with Villarreal in order to make the switch to the La Liga outfit, according to AS cited by

Given the Foyth news, it’s perhaps somewhat surprising then that Mourinho is poised to allow another defender to leave the club.

Cameron Carter-Vickers would now appear to be surplus to requirements at White Hart Lane, and the centre-back has no shortage of takers.

All of Bournemouth, Swansea City and Luton Town are keeping tabs on him according to the Daily Mail.

Pavel Nedved gives his response to Juventus Champions League draw

Pavel Nedved has revealed that Juventus Champions League clash with Barcelona will be a “fascinating encounter” after both teams were drawn in the same group.

The Bianconeri will face Lionel Messi’s Barcelona as well as Dynamo Kyiv and Ferencvaros in this season’s Champions League group stages after they were all grouped together.

The game will see two of the world’s best players Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo go head to head in at least two group games.

It is a draw that excites most football fans around the world, and Nedved isn’t an exception.

He also spoke about watching Arthur and Miralem Pjanic face each other after they both swapped clubs this summer.

While Juve and Barca will be the focus of most fans in that group and both of them are expected to qualify for the knockout rounds, Nedved says the other two teams should not be underrated.

Full Carabao Cup Quarter Final Draw: Arsenal get Man City as their reward for Anfield triumph

The draw for the Carabao Cup Quarter Finals has been made, and there’ll be a meeting for old friends at the Emirates Stadium.

After dispatching Liverpool at Anfield, Arsenal’s reward is a home tie against Manchester City, pitching Mikel Arteta against his former club and boss, Pep Guardiola.

The Gunners, have already beaten the Citizens with Arteta at the helm, and with home advantage this time, the north Londoners might fancy their chances once again.

The other standout tie from the last eight sees Manchester United head to Goodison Park and a tough assignment against a rejuvenated Everton side.

In the remaining two ties, Brentford’s reward for their demolition of near neighbours Fulham is a home tie against Premier League opposition in Steve Bruce’s Newcastle.

Juve handed tough CL draw but certainly not the worst

Juventus have been drawn against Barcelona for the group stages of the Champions League, but they will be thankful not be in the group of death.

The toughest group looks set to be Group H, with Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester United, RB Leipzig and Istanbul Basaksehir.

The next most open group look to be Group A or B, with European champions Bayern set to take on Atletico Madrid, RB Salzburg and Lokomotiv Moscow, while Inter Milan will have to get the better of Real Madrid, Shakhtar Donetsk and Borussia Monchengladbach.

All eyes will be on Group G for different reasons. Lionel Messi looks likely to leave Barcelona next summer following his attempt to quit the club earlier in the current window, and his side will come up against Cristiano Ronaldo and Juventus during what looks to be his last campaign with the Spanish giants.

“Has to start” – These Man United fans demand that Solskjaer rewards impressive performance with a start vs Spurs on Sunday

The defensive situation at Man United still doesn’t look ideal, but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has painted himself into a corner with some of his recent comments.

It’s clear to see that Harry Maguire will start because he’s the captain and they wildly overpaid to get him, but Victor Lindelof is just not the answer next to him.

He’s too timid and doesn’t seem to excel at any particular thing, but Solskjaer recently confirmed that they wouldn’t be going into the transfer market because he has a lot of options in the squad.

There’s nothing wrong with making those comments, but it means he no longer has any excuse for sticking with an underperforming starting unit, and Eric Bailly made an excellent case for a starting spot tonight.

Serie A doctor reckons that Juventus v Napoli match should go on

Serie A doctor, Gianni Nanni claims that Genoa’s next game against Torino should be the only game that has to be postponed.

This comes after 14 players and members of staff of the Grifoni returned positive tests for covid19 after their 6-0 loss to Napoli.

Their results sent shockwaves around the Italian league and Juve’s game against Napoli this weekend is now under serious threat.

Napoli’s players will now have to be tested on a few occasions before the game on Sunday to determine if a considerable number of them have caught the virus in that game.

It is expected that games will be postponed if too many players test positive for the virus and that could be the case for Juve-Napoli depending on the results.

However, Nanni is of the view that only Genoa’s next league game should be shifted.

“Man management is pathetic” – These Chelsea fans lay into Frank Lampard after another disappointing result

It’s going to be fascinating to see how things go for Frank Lampard at Chelsea this season, because any manager trying to fit several new signings into a team needs time for everything to gel.

The problem is that he still needs some positive results to buy him that time, and Chelsea are infamously impatient when it comes to letting managers work things out.

He impressed a lot of people last year but there was no pressure due to the transfer ban, but now some serious money has been spent on the squad and there’s nowhere to hide anymore.

Juventus boost as key Napoli player will miss upcoming match

Juventus has been handed a major boost ahead of their next league game against Napoli as Lorenzo Insigne is set to miss the game.

Insigne is one of Napoli’s most dangerous attacking players, but he was substituted after just 22 minutes in their last league game against Genoa at the weekend with an injury.

His agent has now revealed that he will likely miss their next league game against Juventus on the 4th of October.

Vincenzo Pisacane claimed that it will take 48 hours after examining the injury before the true extent will be known and that if he didn’t suffer any injuries, he will be out for at least the next 20 days, and if he did, he will probably be out for longer.

The attacker is reportedly devastated by the recent development as he looks set to also miss the next set of national team matches, just like … Read the rest
