Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will have to wait a little longer before offloading Marcos Rojo according to reports.
It’s believed the experienced Argentine has no role to play at the club anymore and so he was expected to leave for a while now.
However, his high wages and a lack of genuine interest in Rojo meant he was never moved on and is still a part of the current squad all these years later.
The tenacious defender joined during Louis van Gaal‘s reign and had one or two successful seasons but was otherwise largely injured or was not performing.
Rojo had returned on loan to his native country in the past and the hope was that deal would turn permanent but unfortunately for all parties it hasn’t.
Manchester United have not received any official bid from Boca Juniors for Marcos Rojo – he can leave the club if a serious offer will arrive. Moises Caicedo deal still at same point: talks on with both club and agent, work permit issue, nothing signed or done. #mufc

Manchester United fans have often felt Rojo symbolises one of the problems with the team in the sense that some poor decision-making was done.
The former Sporting Lisbon man could’ve been moved on several years ago given how he hasn’t really been a key part of the squad but instead he was given a new deal to protect his value.
This was meant to help United not lose him for free and to move him on for money to bolster the transfer budget.
Instead, no one was interested in matching Rojo’s wages to sign him and so the club were stuck with him to play out his full contract.
