25-year-old winger wants to sign for Barcelona despite interest from Liverpool, Man United

In the wake of a possible exit of Ousmane Dembele from FC Barcelona, Raphael Belotti, or Raphinha, has been the Catalans’ main target. The Brazilian plays for Leeds United, and Barça are the main team in the hunt for him.

Little over a week ago, journalist Gianluigi Longari stated that Raphinha had two buyout clauses. One of €75 million would apply if Leeds would avoid relegation. Another, of €25 million, would apply if they would descend to the Championship.

There are new developments, and they come because the Brazilian reportedly has an excellent relationship with his club. Longari said today that the two will agree on an exit figure, without any tension, excluding the figures on the clauses.

He added that despite leading the race, Barcelona are not alone in their pursuit for him. Liverpool and Manchester United were keeping close tabs on the Brazilian.

Raphinha has been exceptional for Leeds this season. The Brazilian is their top goal contributor, with nine goals and three assists in 27 games.

Figures such as his expected assists suggest that he has been let down by his forwards, as his three assists from 6xA is only half what his creativity merits.

Barcelona have reportedly agreed on a five year deal with the player, who turns 26 this December.

One of his biggest selling points is his experience, and this too in the Premier League. Raphinha’s aptitude on the ball has attracted many clubs to him, all wishing to capitalise on Leeds’ tough situation this season.
