Quique Setién speaks ahead of Barcelona vs Bayern Munich

Barcelona coach Quique Setién has spoken in the pre-match press conference ahead of the Champions League quarter-final against Bayern Munich on Friday night. The Cantabrian coach answered general questions and explained his expectations.

On statements in German media: “One thing is the statements and what people may think and another is what happens on the pitch. We know about Bayern’s talent and pace, especially in the offensive aspect. I think it will key to have the ball. There will not be a clear dominator and the one who will overcome the tie is the one who takes advantage of their chances.”

On the Lewandowski-Messi comparisons: “Lewandowski is a great player but he’s not on Messi’s level, I think that’s clear. Lewandowski has 13 goals in the Champions League and is very well assisted by his teammates, but we have already seen Leo the other day against Napoli. It’s good that … Read the rest

Dead or Alive Xtreme: Venus Vacation’s English Version on Steam Finally Adds Kanna, The Cute Oni

The Steam version of Koei Tecmo’s free to play PC game Dead or Alive Xtreme: Venus Vacation finally added another heroine to its roster.

The new entry is the cute and mischievous pint-sized oni Kanna, which is ready to play pranks on island owners playing in English.

That being said, don’t expect to be able to unlock her for free for a while, because as usual, her gacha is paid-only.

If you want her without needing to test your luck in a paid gacha with abysmal SSR chances, you’ll need to wait a few months until the next girl gets rolled in, as it happened exactly a year ago in the Japanese version. If the timeframe is the same, it’ll take over three months.

If you’re unfamiliar with the game, the Steam version of Dead or Alive Xtreme: Venus Vacation comes with English support, but it has been … Read the rest

Was That Roger Federer Or Wayne Gretzky In Toronto?

It turns out that even though Roger Federer is best with a tennis racquet, that’s not the only stick he is effective with.

The Swiss joined fellow ATP Tour players and NHL stars for a hockey exhibition in Toronto at the 2014 Rogers Cup. Some of the hockey stars in attendance were Phil Kessel and Jason Spezza. Federer was clutch under pressure, smacking the ball into the net as time expired.

“This is all about fun and it’s great fun doing this kind of stuff,” Federer said. “Getting hockey and tennis together on a centre court, which they built especially for this hockey promo, I think is great. I had a lot of fun meeting all the guys, they’re so relaxed. That I scored doesn’t matter one bit, but it was definitely a lot of fun.”

Federer has collected NHL jerseys since he was a kid, saying he has “a … Read the rest

With almost the first six races of the 2020 FIA Formula One World Championship in the book, we return to familiar ground this weekend as the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya plays host to the Spanish Grand Prix. The track has a good mix of high and low speed corners and is a circuit very familiar to both Charles Leclerc and Sebastian Vettel, who have spent huge amounts of time pounding around it during winter testing.

“The Barcelona track is a classic. Every year we do so many kilometres here in testing and therefore we can say it has no secrets. Renault looking for a repeat of the last high-scoring weekend

Renault DP World F1 Team will be hoping for a similar point haul from the previous race in this weekend’s 70th Anniversary Grand Prix held at Silverstone Circuit

Daniel Ricciardo had a strong weekend finishing in fourth place, equalling his best ever finish for the French team.

Running in sixth for the majority of the race, Ricciardo got lucky when the front left wheels of Valtteri Bottas’sMercedes and Carlos Sainz Jr’s McLaren punctured in the dying laps of the race, promoting the Aussie to fourth and crossing the line just over one second behind Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc.

Ricciardo added “We’ll be hoping for a similar result, that’s for sure. And, who knows, maybe we can! I think the weather looks to be hot again all weekend and that will bring some challenges. It was also very windy at Silverstone and that makes things tricky in a Read the rest

2020 for Formula 1: Gossip Grip

By Kunal Shah and Mithila Mehta | The 2020 Formula 1 season will go down in memory for several unique reasons: firstly, the COVID-19 disruption; secondly, the ever-evolving calendar due to the aforementioned COVID-19 disruption; thirdly, Mercedes’ continued dominance and rewriting of the record books, which is a whole other matter to discuss. Also, let’s not forget the “pink Mercedes” and the controversies surrounding Racing Point’s copying methods. Moreover, and we can’t believe we’re saying this, what about Ferrari’s demotion to being a mid-field team, and not the most successful one there?

Not to sound insensitive, but sincere Formula 1 racing fans are actually kind of delighted with the current calendar. It would be tough to argue that this ongoing circus seems far more challenging and fun than the traditional calendar. For starters, no one actually knows just how many races make the championship – this increases the importance of … Read the rest
