You Can Now Play Skyrim at 60fps on PS5

Skyrim will never die. Since the release of Skyrim: Special Edition, console players have been able to make use of mods as well through Bethesda’s Creation Club. While the selection will never be quite as expansive or varied as what we have on PC, it’s still pretty damn good, and modders are making it even better.

A newly released mod on Bethesda’s Creation Club now allows PlayStation users to enjoy the game at 60 frames per second, which is pretty darn impressive. You can check out the mod in action for yourself down below.

It’s also worth noting that players on PS4 and PS4 Pro can also download the mod and use it, but it’s unclear whether the performance will be just as good on those machines. Even so, if you were looking for more ways to enjoy Bethesda’s open-world RPG, now’s a good time to jump back in.… Read the rest

Microsoft Flight Simulator Airbus A380 Add-On Gets WIP Screenshots Showing Cockpit & Landing Gear

Today the folks at FlyByWire Simulations showcased an interesting preview of the 3D work going on for their Airbus A380 add-on for Microsoft Flight Simulator.

We get to see the 3D models of the overhead console, the pedestal, and the nose landing gear.

Do keep in mind that the elements that appear in color don’t have an actual texture yet besides decals. A base color has simply been applied to the mesh and the screens are still images for now, so this is very much work-in progress.

You can find the screenshots below and the full video, which also includes information and a look to the progress of FlyByWire’s outstanding A320NX mod.

Incidentally, the work done by FlyByWire on the A380 is especially relevant considering that there really isn’t a good add-on portraying the massive airliner pretty much anywhere. If you’d like to hear more, you can read our recent Read the rest

Microsoft Flight Simulator F-15 Add-on Gets New Video All About The Roar of Its Engines

Today third-party add-on developer DC Designs provided another look at the upcoming F-15 Eagle package for Microsoft Flight Simulator.

The video is still work-in-progress and focuses on the sound of the F-15’s engines, and they certainly feel impressive, esspecially if you crank your volume all the way up. I would advise against doing that if you’re in Europe and you live with other people who may already be sleeping.

You can check it out below.

The add-on will release on Jan. 20 or Jan. 21, and will be priced at $37 including four versions of the Eagle (C, D, E, and I).

Best Video Game Performances & Voice Acting of 2020

It’s award season at Twinfinite, so we’re looking back at some of the best of gaming from last year. Voted on by our editors and staff, these were the best video game actors of 2020 whose performances brought life to their respective characters.

Best Performances & Voice Acting 2020

Honorable Mention: Nadji Jeter as Miles Morales (Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales)

Guides Editor Chris Jecks: The original Marvel’s Spider-Man back in 2018 was one of my favorite games of that year. The gameplay was tight, the story was original and interesting, and the voice acting performances were solid, bringing the likes of Peter Parker and Mary Jane to life.

It was a pretty high bar to exceed, and yet somehow, Miles Morales managed to do just that.

Where the gameplay remained the same in 2020’s web-slinging offering, it was Nadji Jeter’s performance as Miles Morales that ensured the … Read the rest

Latest Destiny 2 TWAB Details Reprised Dreaming City & Moon Gear, Stasis Nerfs, Updated Vendor Progression, & More

The first 2021 TWAB is a doozy as it wades right into some controversial waters, and hits on a few big topics in Destiny 2 right now.

The last few weeks since Bungie went dark for the holidays has seen lots of players discontent with aspects of Destiny 2, particularly when it comes to sunsetting and the lack of weapons as we approach another season where more weapons will be removed; but also the current dominance of Stasis in PvP.

This latest TWAB does begin to address a those issues and more. Let’s start with the reprisal of some equipment from the Moon and The Dreaming City.

The armor sets will be reprised and will drop with high stat rolls in both the Shattered Throne and Pit of Heresy respectively.

Also, four weapons from each of those destinations will be added to the drop pool:

HuniePop 2: Double Date Gets Updated Trailer, New Screenshots, & Steam Page

Fans of the puzzle dating simulator HuniePop have been eagerly waiting for its sequel, HuniePop 2: Double Date, and one more step has been made toward release.

The developer has opened the official Steam page for the game, which is still on track for a release before Valentine’s Day.

If you’re unfamiliar with the HuniePop franchise, the first game launched on Steam back in 2015 as a hybrid between a puzzle game, a visual novel, and a dating sim. Despite its rather alluring nature, it drew a lot of attention for its solid puzzle mechanics and the beautiful artwork.

As a result, it still has “overwhelmingly positive” user reviews on Steam.

You can check out the updated trailer (with the addition of voice-overs and more compared to the previous gameplay trailer) and the screenshots below, alongside an official feature list.

A New Trailer for Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury Is Coming Tomorrow

Nintendo of America has just announced on their official Twitter that they will be sharing a brand new trailer for the upcoming Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury tomorrow morning.

It seems like the trailer will be posted right to Twitter (and probably also YouTube afterwards), so there won’t be a typical Nintendo Direct format for this announcement.

Instead, Nintendo invites us to check back with them at 6 am PT / 9 am ET on Jan. 12 to see the two minute long trailer.

Two minutes isn’t a very long time, so we’re not sure what to expect. Since Super Mario 3D World originally released on the Wii U, we’re hoping that this trailer will … Read the rest
