Having first joined forces in 2019, the two companies will continue their journey together, working together to extend the range of activities in which co-operation is possible. The work of Adler Group, which produces an extensive range of components for the automotive, aerospace and rail transport industries, resonates with that of the wider Sauber Group and its Engineering and Aerodynamics arms, with many synergies between the companies to be explored as part of the partnership.

Adler Group branding will be visible, as in previous years, on the team’s cars, driven by Kimi Räikkönen and Antonio Giovinazzi, as well on all team properties.

NASCAR Cup COTA race dubbed Texas Grand Prix, tyre test set for early March with former champs

The NASCAR Cup Series race at Circuit of the Americas has a new name that breaks away from convention of containing the race distance. On Thursday, Speedway Motorsports (SMI) announced EchoPark Automotive will sponsor the 23 May race and dub it the EchoPark Texas Grand Prix. The circuit will also host a Goodyear tyre test on Tuesday, 2 March with former series champions Chase Elliott, Martin Truex Jr., and Brad Keselowski.

The term “Grand Prix” is commonly associated with other forms of road racing such as Formula One, which runs the United States Grand Prix at the circuit. In contrast, NASCAR traditionally prefers to use race names that follow the pattern of title sponsor and distance, especially in mileage such as the Daytona 500. Some road course races on the NASCAR schedule instead opt to use kilometres for their distances, such as the Bank of Read the rest

Microsoft Flight Simulator Flaps Hotfix Coming; Sim Update 3 & World Update 4 Will Be Slightly Delayed

Today Microsoft announced a revision to the update schedule for Microsoft Flight Simulator.

The the latest World Update 3 untroduced an issue with flaps that produce too much lift across the board. Initially, the developers planned to fix it with sim update 4 in early march, but due to community feedback, they have now decided to release an hotfix next week.

This will require thorough testing, with the result that the next two major updates will be delayed by a week.

Sim update 3, which will introduce various improvements to the core simulation, is now targeting a release in early March (likely the second week of the month since it was originally slated for March 4).

World Update 4, which will improve France and Benelux, is now targeting early April (likely the first week of the month, since it was originally slated for March 30).

On top of that, we … Read the rest

Anthem’s Failure is Now Complete

Anthem, EA & BioWare’s “Destiny Killer” is finally, mercifully, being put out of its misery. Today BioWare announced that development on Anthem is ceasing. This includes all work on Anthem 2.0, the proposed rehaul of the beleaguered looter-shooter.

This update effectively puts the final nail in Anthem’s coffin. EA and BioWare have committed to a future where Anthem is remembered as a complete and utter failure, and it, like Battleborn recently, will be left to wither away.

Sadly, the story of Anthem really isn’t even all that interesting to look back on. And unlike Battleborn, I don’t have a lot of good things to say about it.

Anthem was incredibly ambitious, very beautiful, and had some of the best jet-pack flying mechanics I’ve ever experienced in a video game.

It was also completely soulless, devoid of an interesting gameplay loop, and it had a bland, and below-average story … Read the rest
