2D Metroidvania, Record of Lodoss War: Deedlit in Wonder Labyrinth, Gets New Western Switch Trailer

Earlier today, developer Team Ladybug and publisher Playism dropped a new pre-order trailer to commemorate the imminent western launch of its 2D side-scrolling Metroidvania experience, Record of Lodoss War: Deedlit in Wonder Labyrinth, on Nintendo Switch.

It’s important to note that the Castlevania: Symphony of the Night-esque action title already officially made its way to PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, Xbox One, PC and Japanese Nintendo Switch owners last month. However, Switch players in the west were left wanting as the western release of the game was delayed to Jan. 28, 2022.

So, for those of you waiting for the western Nintendo Switch launch of the title, you’ll be pleased to know that the official date has been locked in and is primed for an imminent release next week.

The Batman’s Award-Winning Composer Michael Giacchino Unveils The Film’s Official Theme

With Matt Reeves’ The Batman reboot just around the corner, excitement for Robert Pattinson’s dark and brooding take on the infamous Caped Crusader is beginning to reach fever pitch. And today, we now have a fresh piece of intel to pore over.

Space, the Final Frontier… Is About To Get Its Very Own Film Studio

If you’ve ever looked up at the stars and wondered: ‘Man, I wish there was something floating up there so I could do all those fancy zero gravity stunts that they do in sci-fi movies,’ then we bring you good news. Yes, your dream is about to come to fruition as Space Entertainment Enterprise (S.E.E), the production company spearheading Tom Cruise‘s upcoming still-untitled space flick, is set to take to the stars with its new film studio.

That’s right, S.E.E has officially unveiled plans to build and launch a space station – dubbed SEE-1 – that’ll be tethered to its very own production studio with the aim to embark by Dec. 2024.

Interestingly, the futuristic space studio won’t be the only unique module on the spaceship, as S.E.E also intend to fashion a sports and entertainment arena as well.

Tales of Luminaria Anime Gets First 10 Minutes in English; Tales of Arise Anime Trailer Gets New Screenshots

Today Bandai Namco Entertainment had a couple of treats to share with fans of Tales of Arise and Tales of Luminaria, especially those who happen to like anime.

First of all, we get to see the first 10 minutes of the Tales of Liminaria Anime titled The Fateful Crossrowad animated by Kamikaze Douga. Unlike the previous video, this one is entirely dubbed in English.

It’ll release on January 20 on Funimation, Crunchyroll, and more.

We also get to see a few screenshots of the anime trailer coming soon for Tales of Arise and animated by Ufotable, shared by Bandai Namco on Twitter.

Upcoming Open-World Action-RPG, Spellmaster: The Saga, Gets Gorgeous New Screenshots

Earlier today, developer Spellbook Creations and publisher Valkyrie Initiative shared a bunch of new screenshots for their upcoming open-world action-RPG, Spellmaster: The Saga.

While there’s currently no concrete release date for the game as of yet, the fantasy-themed adventure will be making an appearance at Steam’s Big Adventure Event on Jan. 20 – Jan. 24.

For those unaware, the aforementioned event is a PC-centric digital showcase featuring independently-developed games with a focus on large-scale, open-world experiences.

Currently, Spellmaster: the Saga has only been announced for a PC release thus far. Hopefully, during this event, we’ll hear more about a potential release window.

Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord Gets New Video Showing Big Improvements from Latest Update

TaleWorlds Entertainment has released a new video showcasing the latest update released for Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord.

The update was released a few days ago and included a large number of significant improvements to the game, which is currently in early access.

Those include the game-changing battle terrain systems, the order of battle screens, and large changes to sieges, but there is a lot more.

The video is a good chance to assess the current state of the game, especially for those who haven’t played the early access version for a while.

Psychological Horror Game, Ikai, Creeps Its Way to Consoles & PC on March 29

If you’re feeling brave and in need of a scare, developer Endflame and publisher PM Studios’ Japanese folklore-inspired first-person scare-’em-up, Ikai, may be exactly what you need right now. The good news? The Barcelona-based three-person indie studio has confirmed that its in-development horror title will officially arrive on PC, PS5, PS4, and Nintendo Switch on March 29, 2022.

Interestingly, Ikai won’t be just a cat-and-mouse, run-and-hide experience. Instead, players will have the opportunity to use special ‘mystical kanji’ to help defend themselves against the otherworldly paranormal entities.

For those who’re after a physical release of Ikai, you’ll be able to nab a limited edition version of the title for $34.99 that bundles together a postcard and few bonus stickers featuring the game’s eerily dark artwork.

New Netflix Comedy ‘Welcome to Murderville’ Sees Will Arnett Investigating a Murder… With a Twist

Late last night, Netflix pulled back the curtain on its upcoming comedy show, Welcome to Murderville. Starring popular actor-comedian Will Arnett, the murder mystery series will place The LEGO Movie star into the shoes of a detective of the eponymous small town.

Every episode will see a new guest celebrity take on the role of Arnett’s sidekick to help him solve the case. But here’s the big twist: each celebrity guest will not be given a script for the show, and will instead have to improvise their way through the episode. Of course, comedic hijinks ensue, we’re sure!

Scarlet Nexus Getting Kasane Randall Figure by Kotobukiya

If you love Scarlet Nexus, today Kotobikuya had a surprise in store for the fans of the game in the form of a new figure going up for pre-order.

You can now reserve a figure portraying heroine Kasane Randall by Kotobukiya’s brand ArtFX J at the manufacturer’s own store.

She’s priced at 15,400 yen, which roughly translates into $135. The release window isn’t too far off, June 2022, and pre-orders will close on Feb. 15.

The scale is a relatively small 1/8 for approximately 215 mm in height. The prototype was designed by BRAIN.
