Austin Cindric dominates final stage, wins Drydene 200

Austin Cindric is the first NASCAR Xfinity Series driver to hit three wins in 2021. After working his way through the field for much of Saturday’s Drydene 200 at Dover International Speedway, he took the lead with 51 laps to go and drove off to the victory.

Daniel Hemric and Darlington winner Justin Allgaier started on the front row while Cindric, who was involved in a final-lap wreck last week, was mired back in sixteenth. Zane Smith started at the back ninth in his first Xfinity start since 2019 as he was filling in for Justin Haley, who was out due to COVID-19 protocol.

Hemric led the first lap before Allgaier took the lead and dominated the entire first stage. The segment featured two cautions: a competition yellow on lap 22 and a lap 33 wreck between Riley Herbst and Truck Series points leader John Hunter Nemechek, … Read the rest

Romain Grosjean Takes First IndyCar Pole for GMR Grand Prix

Dale Coyne Racing with Rick Ware Racing rookie Romain Grosjean wheeled his way to his first NTT IndyCar Series pole position, his first in ten years of competition, and will lead the field to green for the GMR Grand Prix at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Road Course. Team Penske‘s Josef Newgarden qualified second, and will start alongside him tomorrow afternoon.

Group 1 of Q1 saw a few strong drivers get bumped early, as Arrow McLaren SP‘s Felix Rosenqvist narrowly missed out on Q2 and will start thirteenth, his best qualifying effort of the season. Dale Coyne Racing with Vasser-Sullivan‘s Ed Jones finished third in the group, an impressive run for a returning Jones. Ed Carpenter Racing’s Rinus Veekay was the fastest the group, and his lap gives the drivers eliminated in Q1 the odd-numbered positions at the back of the grid.

Learn to play these three classic games

These three classic games have a reputation that precedes them. Something all three hold in common is that they are easy to play but challenging to master. Here we take a look at where these three classic titles come from and explore some introductory steps on how to grasp the basics of each.

Chess

Chess has a certain mystique around it. The game has been a favourite of philosophers, generals and kings throughout history. Chess has its origins in the Indian game Chaturanga that dates from as early as the 6th century CE and its essential structure and format have varied little over the intervening centuries, with its current form taking shape in Renaissance Europe. The game is played on a black and white checkerboard of 64 squares arrayed in an 8×8 grid. Each player has control of 16 pieces that are divided among different classes. Each piece is able … Read the rest

2021 Formula 1 Spanish Grand Prix highlights

Introduction

2021 Spanish Grand Prix was an incredible, tense race-long battle between Red Bull’s Max Verstappen and Mercedes’ Lewis Hamilton. Hamilton triumphed for his sixth Spanish Grand Prix win. The reigning world champion brilliantly executed a two-stop strategy to claim his third win in four races this season, as Verstappen finished ahead of the second Mercedes of Valtteri Bottas.

Verstappen led the majority of the race after brilliantly snatching the lead from Hamilton into Turn 1 at the start, with Red Bull then committing to a one-stop strategy around the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, as Hamilton opted for two.

But with six laps to go, Hamilton used the superior performance of his newer tyres to pass the Dutchman into Turn 1 and check out for his 98th victory, and fifth straight win at the circuit – Verstappen ultimately deciding to pit for softs once Hamilton was past and go for … Read the rest

EuroNASCAR emphasising qualifying, adds podium handicap for 2021 NWES season

The 2021 NASCAR Whelen Euro Series season will kick off at Circuit Ricardo Tormo in Valencia, Spain, this weekend, and EuroNASCAR has introduced modifications to the points and starting lineup formats. Some of the changes return from previous years while others are new, particularly the introduction of a “success handicap” that drops where a driver starts Race #2 depending on how they finished the first.

After Friday practice (two thirty-minute sessions for EuroNASCAR PRO and EuroNASCAR 2, with a third if the Club Challenge is taking part), two qualifying runs will take place. Like usual, the starting grid for Race #1 on Saturdays will be set based on qualifying results. The three fastest drivers receive up to three points.

As in previous years, the lineup for Race #2 on Sundays will be based on the fastest lap times from the first. However, a slight tweak has been added: the … Read the rest

Would anyone watch a driverless F1 race?

Formula 1 has always been a sport at the forefront of technology and innovation. In fact, few other sports or industries spend as much of their annual budget on technical development. However, new technology in the sport has often sparked controversy.

The battle to retain the essence of the sport while pushing the boundaries of what is technically possible is an ongoing one. Every season, there seems to be a debate about where the sport is heading and whether new technology and rule changes are enhancing or impairing it.

The Growth of Artificial Intelligence in F1

The question always seems to be: Where do we draw the line with technology? And that examination is likely to be tested to the limit by artificial intelligence. AI has already been of great benefit to motor racing. Top F1 teams already using machine learning and AI-powered analytics systems to make on-track strategy calls … Read the rest

Which European League Is The Most Competitive?

Objectivity is the key to enhance in chess. Medium and Major tournaments follow similar guidelines and are more supported by Riot, nevertheless, they have to apply for licenses. They should be customized, so would most likely differ primarily based on the occasion. Medium tournaments should apply to the Regional Riot Esports Workforce for their license, whilst main tournaments need to go to the International Riot Esports Crew. This offers a sign as to the dimensions for the occasions as medium may cowl a rustic, whereas major may cover a continent or extra. For these events, Riots may include them on the Riot Games Official Calendar, and so they might allow the use of logos, logos, and paintings. Riot can also contribute to the prize funds for these tournaments, and Riot could provide merchandise to be sold, as nicely. There are TONS we may include, but I’ve determined to focus primarily … Read the rest
