Elneny positive for Covid-19 as football related cases increase … **

The wisdom of playing international matches during the second wave of a highly contagious pandemic has always been questionable, and it felt inevitable that sooner or later Arsenal would be impacted.

That came to pass yesterday when Mohamed Elneny tested positive for the virus on arrival in Togo for Egypt’s game there. The EFA released a statement which said:

“The results of the medical swabs conducted by the national team upon arrival in Togo showed negative all except for Arsenal player Mohamed Elneny, whose result appeared positive without any symptoms.

“The player immediately began to implement the special medical protocol for people infected with Covid-19.”

He will have to self-isolate, and it’s now almost certain he won’t be available for the Leeds game on Sunday. The good thing is he doesn’t have any symptoms, hopefully that remains the case and he’ll be fine after his period of quarantine. It leaves … Read the rest

Inaki Rueda talks us through the Ferrari strategy at Istanbul

Scuderia Ferrari had a rollercoaster Turkish Grand Prix, the 14th round of the year, which ended with the team’s best overall result of the season and its biggest points haul. Friday went well despite very unusual track conditions and then came a very tricky qualifying in the wet, with both drivers getting no further than Q2. Despite that, yesterday, Sebastian Vettel secured his first podium of the season in third spot and Charles Leclerc was fourth, but the result could have been marginally even better. As usual, Inaki Rueda, Head of Race Strategy, looks back at the race in the Monday debrief.

“It’s worth starting with a few words on the conditions everyone encountered on arrival at Istanbul Park. The track had recently been resurfaced and during the Wednesday track walk, it was clear that the surface was still oily and slippery. That was plain to see during Friday free … Read the rest

When Murray Was The Winner Who Took It All In London

Throughout the majority of his career, Andy Murray has been chasing his biggest rivals, Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic, for the sport’s biggest prizes, but on the eve of the 2016 Nitto ATP Finals he was in the form of his life.

The Scot had miraculously overturned Djokovic’s 9,025 points lead in the FedEx ATP Rankings and won 60 of 65 matches—which included 11 finals from 12 events—to rise to No. 1 for the first time on 7 November 2016.

For the first time in 666 weeks, Federer, Djokovic or Nadal did not hold the top spot and Murray knew with strong performances at The O2 in London that the trophy and the possibility of year-end No. 1 would be in his sights. Mission impossible maybe, but a target had been set.

Murray was drawn into Group John McEnroe alongside US Open champion Stan Wawrinka, … Read the rest

Some Highly Requested Fan Features Are Being Added To Animal Crossing: New Horizons

Earlier today, Nintendo dropped the winter update trailer for Animal Crossing: New Horizons, and it’s a big one.

It goes over all of the holidays and events we can expect in the game for the remainder of 2020, and you can read all about that here.

There are a few other things, though, that were presented in the update trailer that go beyond holiday and event updates. A handful of new features are also being added, and they include some that fans have been asking for since the games’ release back in March.

The first highly requested feature we saw in the trailer is the addition of new Black hairstyles (as well as a bald hairstyle) to be more inclusive of diverse characters.

This is a huge win for players of color who felt as though there were no hairstyles in New Horizons that looked like their own.

Explained: The only way Man United can offload troublesome star

Manchester United star Paul Pogba could only ever fulfill his apparent desire to leave if certain factors play out in his favour.

The talented Frenchman was trending once more after parts of an interview he conducted for his country went viral for all the wrong reasons.

Pogba’s words are often mistranslated and it seems that was the case this time around, though fans are sick of it happening repeatedly anyway.

It’s believed the sensational academy product stated being with the international team is a breath of fresh air as he’s currently going through the most difficult period of his career.

However, after a long chain of inaccurate gossip, Pogba was attacked for apparently saying he’s not happy at United and wants to leave.

Video: Arsenal outcast Matteo Guendouzi continues to show why he deserves another chance with outstanding assist for France U21s

It’s clear that Mikel Arteta’s problems with Matteo Guendouzi came down to his application and attitude rather than his ability, but it’s hard to tell if the midfielder could return to the Emirates and get another chance next season.

He’s doing well in Germany with Hertha Berlin and he’s the kind of player that Arsenal need in the midfield just now.

His energy and pressing ability would be a welcome addition to most teams, but he demonstrated last night that he’s developing his end product once he wins the ball back too:

The report then adds that the Bianconeri are putting pressure on the defender to end his association with Bayern and to join them.
