Differing reports on Dybala future

There are different reports on Paulo Dybala’s future at Juventus as Gazzetta dello Sport report that the club would only entertain offers over €90 million for the player while Fabrizio Romano suggests his future in Turin is secure.

La Joya was widely expected to renew his contract with the Bianconeri this summer, extended his deal to 2024 or possibly 2025, with just a final agreement missing.

Tuttosport now report that the renewal talks are on hold for the moment, at least until after the summer, as La Joya has asked for at least €15 million a season, while Juve are only prepared to offer €8 million plus bonuses.

Alongside, Gazzetta dello Sport report that the Covid crisis negatively affected Juventus’ balance sheet (an estimate: €70 million as of 30/6/2020) and could force the Bianconeri to think about a heavy sale to finance the new course they’re taking.

Editors’ Takes: Debating on the Barcelona 2–8 Bayern Munich

In the culmination of an evident decline, our editors share their takes and standout performers of the fateful Barcelona 2–8 Bayern Munich.

Everyone knows what happened on Friday night and it needs no further explanation. However, after the historic humiliation through a 2–8 Bayern win in the Champions League quarter-finals, our editors share their different perspectives on what occurred to Barcelona in Lisbon.

Absolutely horrendous, but much needed

Outplayed. Outrun. Outsmarted. Those are the words that describe Bayern Munich’s performance against Barça. They were just better at everything that we tried to do. Bayern’s defence was not rock solid, but we failed to exploit the same. Barça looked like a mess out there with no plan or preparation. Wingers like Ansu Fati and a bright midfielder in Riqui Puig should have started the game.

The Bavarians were given too much space on the right side where Nélson Semedo was often caught high up the pitch. Bayern were brilliant in … Read the rest

'Get me signed'- Former Man United man reveals reason he left

Former Manchester United man Ashley Young has opened up on what made him leave the club a little suddenly.

The experienced Englishman left Old Trafford in January to join Inter Milan despite being the club’s captain at the time.

Young was one of United’s more senior players and was understood to be an influential member of the dressing room.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has gotten rid of a fair number of players in his short tenure so far and the versatile defender opted to leave halfway through the season.

At the time Young wasn’t a regular in the starting XI as he was battling it out with Luke Shaw and surprise up comer Brandon Williams.

According to the Mirror, Young said: “Obviously being in England all my life, it was a totally different change, but it was an experience that I jumped at.

“It was an opportunity for me to … Read the rest

Formula 1, Goodwood, and good music

By Elina T. Htun | Goodwood is the stage of car racing and music, where the champions are challenging each other during the festival of speed in July, bringing together the heady mix of cars, stars, and motorsport “royalties”, followed in the fall by the revival, the glamour of motor racing of the past, the only historic race, meeting entirely in period dress, a tribute to the sport and Goodwood. Today we meet a man with two passions and one dream – the champion on the Goodwood music stage, Crispin Ward, a British International Orchestral conductor, composer, and professor. Crispin’s presence and performance with his orchestra at Goodwood had demonstrated that motor racing and music are so very linked. Let’s hear from the man himself.

From the earliest years, his two great loves of Formula 1 and music seemed rather incongruous, Crispin’s passion for all things automotive is reflected … Read the rest

2020 Spanish GP, Ferrari second practice report: Charles P6, Sebastian P12

Lewis  Hamilton has led the way in second practice at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, taking over from the position Valtteri Bottas took in first practice during the morning.

Hamilton set a 1:16.883 on the Soft tyres during the blisteringly hot afternoon session, which was a quarter of a second clear of what Bottas could manage on the same tyre. These times were some 0.4 quicker than what the pair managed in FP2 in 2019.

Scuderia Ferrari Monegasque driver Charles Leclerc ended up sixth for the Maranello team, ahead of home hero Carlos Sainz Jr and Perez, who continued his return to F1 action following his COVID-19 quarantine during the two British races with eighth for Racing Point.

Esteban Ocon and Pierre Gasly rounded out the top 10 for Renault and AlphaTauri.

Scuderia Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel, who has a new chassis this weekend after a crack was discovered in his old … Read the rest

After 13 years on Tour, Kevin Anderson still has plenty of first-time moments that he wants to accomplish.

Criminal Girls X/Escape from Asura Gets New Trailer Showing Its Waifus and Reminiscence Mode

Today Developer Mikage released a brand new trailer of its upcoming JRPG Criminal Girls X, also known as Escape from Asura in the west.

The trailer showcases some of the heroines we’ll meet in the game and the “Reminiscence Mode,” which allows us to unlock the memories of said heroines as the story progresses, aiming toward their redemption.

Interestingly, a few months ago, Mikage mentioned that it would come west for PS5 and PC as well, but the official western announcement did not include these platforms.

At the moment, we don’t have any information about what will be changed for the console version. That being said, … Read the rest

Where there’s a Willian there’s a way

The signing of Willian from Chelsea has generated a lot of discussion. The focus of conversation has been less to do with Willian’s quality and more to do with his age. Starting your much needed rebuild with a three-year deal for a 32-year old doesn’t speak to an approach ready to ‘outsmart the market’- not to mention that it is impossible to ignore the links to Willian’s agent.

Over the last three windows, Arsenal have signed 32-year old David Luiz, 29-year old Cedric Soares and now 32-year old Willian from Joorabchian’s stable. Joorabchian has long-established links with Raul Sanllehi and Edu Gaspar- Edu and Tite’s title winning Corinthians sides were built on the back of Joorabchian’s … Read the rest
