Rashford reveals genius decision he made before scoring winner vs Wolves

Manchester United star Marcus Rashford has explained just how he looked to exploit Wolves after scoring the match-winning goal in the dying embers of the match.

The young Englishman was crucial in the victory, scoring in the 1-0 result to hand Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men all three points.

The win meant United climbed up to second in the Premier League table with a game in hand and Rashford led the way for his team.

Solskjaer’s stars couldn’t seem to find their way through a stubborn Wolves team who appeared set up to keep all their players behind the ball and settle for a point.

However, Rashford had other plans and it seems as though he figured something out that helped him get the winner.

What Rashford did was brilliant insight and a fantastic way to break through a stubborn opponent but it’s also remarkably similar to a certain Manchester United legend.

Michael Carrick once revealed in his book how Ryan Giggs would occasionally turn his opposing full-back into knots in order to tire out their legs before doing something truly dangerous.

Rashford didn’t play on Rayan Ait-Nouri’s flank for long but he made sure to hop on the opportunity to exploit him right away.

Edinson Cavani has made quite an impact since his deadline day arrival at Old Trafford, but how much do you know about our other South American players, past and present? Take our quiz below to find out!
