“The SF1000 and I, we will no longer be friends” – Sebastian Vettel

Scuderia Ferrari German driver Sebastian Vettel comments and impressions at the end of the 2020 Sakhir Grand Prix, the second race at the Bahrain International Circuit:

First of all, congratulations to Sergio! Really happy for him. Really! Second, I’m sorry for George, as far as I understood he was in the lead the whole time… He’s got his first points but I wish it was a different outcome for him!” – the German driver said.

“I’m trying to do my part and to bring this chapter to an end, but it is difficult to find the green spot. I’m fighting my way through it somehow… I tried everything, but the whole race was weak. I think the car and I, we will no longer be friends”. – Seb explained.

“I was just on the defense the whole race and couldn’t benefit with the soft tyres either. The pit stops didn’t make a huge difference I guess because with the last SC it was all neutralized. My race was a bit irrelevant, so… (laughs) We were quit slow from the start. I couldn’t go with the people ahead and be in the mix. I wasn’t really gaining anything on the straights, even though with the tow and DRS”. – Scuderia Ferrari German driver Sebastian Vettel concluded.
