Watch: Dynamo Kyiv 0-1 Barcelona, Match Review

Barcelona pick up an imperative three points in the Champions League group stages away from home to Dynamo Kyiv, following a second half strike from Ansu Fati. Barcelona entered tonight’s clash in the knowledge that it would be one of the most important fixtures in the recent history of the club, and come out the other end with a crucial victory.

Barcelona, as has been the case for several games this season, really struggled to gain a foothold in the game, with both chances having decent chances before Ansu’s opener. Interim coach Sergi Barjuán can be very pleased to see his side pick up a clean sheet on the road, with ter Stegen making some impressive saves in both halves. The electric return of winger Ousmane Dembélé will also fill the Barcelona faithful with a lot of hope, especially with Xavi coming in to coach the Frenchman.

Up next for Barcelona, it’s time to finalise the arrival of Xavi Hernández as coach, although his first game will not take place until after the international break, meaning for Barca’s trip to Balaídos on Saturday to take on Celta Vigo, it will be Sergi Barjuán who is tasked with leading the side to a much required three points in La Liga.
